DrFruit Posted February 20, 2008 Share Posted February 20, 2008 Hi, I have recently purchased an Intel Badaxe motherboard and a G5 case for a new hackintosh project. I can see alot of info on these forums relating to BadAxe2 motherboards, can anyone help point me in the right direction or give advice as to which distribution of OSX would be more suitable e.g. Kalyway/Brazilmac/iAtkos/TOH for the original BadAxe motherboard? The revision is .306 so it is the last revision of the board. I had to try a few video cards - I had one that acted kind of flakey so if you have trouble installing try not making any selections for the video card. You won't have qe/ci then but you can figure that out later. Follow the directions in the post. Installed well for me but took me two full days of messing with it to find the right settings and get it installed. Now it would be easy. My system works like a champ and I didn't have to touch the terminal once. I also updated to 10.5.2 using Kalyway_Hack 10.5.2 Combo Update and then Kalyway 10.5.2 kernals and then the graphics update after. Good luck! DrFruit Posted February 21, 2008 Author Share Posted February 21, 2008 hi, not sure what happened but the link is working now... had a read through your post and all looking good this end I might try a Brazilmac install instead of kalyway just to see if it works but to be honest Kalyway 10.5.1 has been great so far on my other machines.
