ibaniban
Hey man I had the same problem but my cursor was the arrow. I don't think its the LAN drivers. In my case it fixed by installing Leopard using different drivers. At first i installed just the NVinject kext option or whatever it is and got the error, then I installed the NVinject kext thing + 256mb driver option too, and now i have an awesome install. So, if you haven't already, try installing both the NVinject kext and XXXmb drivers, and see how it goes. My specs are similar to yours too*: AMD X2 4400+ cpu* Nforce 4 K8N-Pro SLI motherboard NVIDIA 7800GTX 256mb graphics* 2gb DDR2 ram 320gb + 250gb SATA hdd Hope it helps! Get back to me, with results. 2Dy
well.. i instaled it but still the same... like there is nothing to boot from... if i let it boot from DVD i get the error that sais to restart and try again ( the grey squer in the middle and writes in diferent languages) did i forgot to add something to the install? maybe can someone tell me what to select at the customizing? i selected cipset drivers(nforce) at graphict (nvidia geforce) at boot loader MBR and i selected ToH the newer version( is this good or i should leave this out? my cpu suports SSE3) thx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88822-black-screen-boot/#findComment-633861 Share on other sites
2Dy
i just found out that that error is called "Kernel Panic" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88822-black-screen-boot/#findComment-633884 Share on other sites
ibaniban
Hey again, If you havn't already, in the Leopard installer make sure you name the partition that you erase and install on ONE word eg. 'Leopard' or 'Hackintosh' NOT 'mac os x' 'or mac leopard', or else it won't boot. this happened to me the first couple fo times i tried installing. Give it a try. It seems simple, and if we had the same error it may fix it. 2Dy
i got it running i dont know the real problem because i did more changes i changed from MBR to GUID because its a seperate hard drive and dont have windows on it i installed it with 256MB at nvidia i also changed the name to a single name ( originaly i named it MAC OS X) but anyway the important thing is that i got it running without kernel panic error... now i have to make it run without a DVD because i tried once without it and i got b0 error dunno what it is but il fix it somehow ) anyway this is only for seeing the OS,and experimenting with it, not primaly using it at least for now ) because on my own PC i dont have a powerfull cpu to run it thx for the help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88822-black-screen-boot/#findComment-634039 Share on other sites
