rsilves
Hi. I have Kalyway 10.5.1 installed, and I cannot make the system change the language to Spanish!! I know how to do that in the preferences, and that the Finder has to restart to see the change. Some applications work in Spanish, like iTunes, Soundtrack Pro, Address book, and some more. Now I notice that the Apple menu appears in Spanish! But System Preferences is still in English, the Finder too. Some error messages or "accept or cancel" windows appear like an hybrid (at this moment, Disk Utility is in spanish. I did some changes in a Partition tab but did not apply them. Clicked on another tab and a window appeared asking in Spanish if I want to leave that without applying. One button says "Switch" (EN) and the other says "No Cambiar" (SP). I think it's related to the packages that have been installed, because the Mac OS X Leopard DVD is around 6GB, and the Kalyway is around 4GB. Does anyone know if I can download the language pack from some place? Thanks, Rodrigo ? MisterJack
you can extract the spanish language from the Toh rc leopard 10.5 dvd. to extract, use pacifist. if you don't have this dvd, i think you have to download it. don't think you can download the language translation from apple.com, because it's provided with every copy of leopard they sell. rsilves
Thanks MisterJack, it worked perfectly. The strange thing is that the example I mentioned before with DiskUtility didn't change. Anyway, that doesn't bother. Thanks again, Rodrigo Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88687-how-to-change-my-language/#findComment-653327 Share on other sites
