Cyberpowerpc Xplorer X5-2800 . If you configure it with 80gig hard drive and NO operating system,as

i did, it costs $537 and free shipping.

Kalyway Leopard 10.5.1 installed easily using the

NON-VANILLA kernel and EFI/MBR bootloader. Everything worked out of the box but the AC97 sound.

To activate sound choose Azalia in the custom choices and then use this tutorial here on InsanelyMac

to get it working , http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=64754&hl= . Takes about a

half hour and you have your sound line out.

Well I take it the keyboard works, otherwise he wouldn't be so happy...Powermangement.kext gives you battery indicator etc. and speedstep and deleting AppleACPIpowermanagement.kext or whatever cools down your laptop.

Of course it will lack the nice battery life as well as great sleep functionality of a real Apple laptop. Two fingered scrolling too.
