Whizguy101
Having wrecked my install with downloading apple software updates (I got the grey apple logo and endless loading) I tried to re-install. Except now it won't. I've tried MBR, GUID. Both with and without the vanilla kernels. Both with and without the other driver kexts. Either the install hangs at 18 mins and never moves or I get the yellow triangle 'Install Failed' and I gotta do it all over again. Can't be the DVD, wasted like 4 discs re-burning over and over. After loading Darwin with -v I get the following...panics? Enclosed is a screenshot of what I get. To be honest I'm seeing a lotta errors too, like no such directory' etc etc. The apple keyboard error really worries me cause I have an apple keyboard connected. Yeah, I used another one, no joy either. And I'm also checking I'm clicking the right EFI crack too, along with my Partition Map. I'm really banging my head now, seriously need some help, reading other topics doesn't seem to help! Forceman
Try and create the directory StartupItems in /System/Library , use -v -s and check, mount your volume like it shows in that mode.
