My partitioning went as such: sda: Linux (root, home, and swap) sdb: Windows NTFS (sdb1) I shrunk the windows partition and installed Leopard Kalyway 10.5.1. I used the mbr boot option (this may have been where I messed up). After install I rebooted and grub gave me my old options, so I loaded Linux and added the following to /boot/grub/menu.lst: title Mac OS X root (hd1,1) makeactive chainloader +1 On reboot and selecting Mac OS X it says "Starting up..." and hangs forever. What else do I need to do to boot this? I can browse the Mac partition in Linux where it was mounted automatically, so I don't think the install failed. gizmoarena Posted February 18, 2008 Share Posted February 18, 2008 If you install leopard it rewrites the MBR. On next boot, if you do not change anything you could have booted Leopard by selecting Windows option from the grub menu. Do you get what I am saying.
