Okay I have two hard disks sda and sdb (IDE). My partitioning went as such:

sda:

Linux (root, home, and swap)

sdb:

Windows NTFS (sdb1)

I shrunk the windows partition and installed Leopard Kalyway 10.5.1. I used the mbr boot option (this may have been where I messed up). After install I rebooted and grub gave me my old options, so I loaded Linux and added the following to /boot/grub/menu.lst:

title Mac OS X
root (hd1,1)
makeactive
chainloader +1

On reboot and selecting Mac OS X it says "Starting up..." and hangs forever.

What else do I need to do to boot this? I can browse the Mac partition in Linux where it was mounted automatically, so I don't think the install failed. Do I need to use a GUID boot, and do I need to reinstall entirely?
