I'm new to mac and trying to set up a dual boot with windows XP installed first. the thing is i'm using the iAtkos dvd patched version to 1.0ir2 and installing on a dell inspiron 6400 with the following specs core duo 1.86 ghz 120 gb hdd (sata) ati x1400 graphics card wlan intel 3945abg 2 gb ram sigmatel audio Broadcom NIC I can succesfully install OSX without any errors, but after installation, depending on the options chosen i get the following Darwin bootloader ==== continous reboot cycle after apple logo The other bootloader option (can't recall the name sorry) ==== when enter is pressed, nothing happens, but can boot into windows. No bootloader ==== Error Loading Operating System Any help would be appreciated since i've been trying to get this dual boot running for the last two and a half days. gizmoarena
I haven't tried the iAtkos installer. But I would suggest you to try to install without selecting the Vanilla kernel. And if you are using MBR partitioning, choose the EFI_MBR patch and if you are using GUID partitioning, choose the EFI_GUID patch. besnack
Not sure i understand everything you're saying but here's what i understand from it. when installing during customization, do not select sse2/sse3 kernel patch and instead of Darwin bootloader, use EFI bootloader? inedible
Does your wireless(Intel 3945 802.11abg Mini Card) internet work? I have ( Intel 3945 802.11abg Mini Card ) but my doesn't work. How to fix this problem. Help please well, I don't know how you found this thread, but it's probably the worst possible place to ask for help with your problem. as you can see, this topic has nothing to do with wireless cards. fyi: there is a driver in progress for the 3945, but it's not finished and it doesn't work yet. welcome to the forums!
