Almas Khan
Does or has anyone had success with fully operational guide to getting 8800GT properly working? Biggest problems for me are when you turn off/on the monitor and OS X doesn't return to desktop but stays in a blue screen state. Another is no game will run. I do get full resolution and os x quartz working properly, by modify the kext's with my device id, but thats as far as it goes in success :/. One of many possible errors: NVDA::starting display(1) NVDA:starting display(1): failed. Not sure if there is any solution but I'm sure all of us with a 8800GT will love to know if anyone has a solution for all this. Thanks for any help offered. insomnimac
Are you using the latest 10.5.2? If you have efi instaled you can try putting the id string into your boot plist file and deleting nvinject or natit depnding on which one your using. keeran
I have the same issue with a 8800GT - can't turn off the monitor as when I try to come back I just get a blue screen (and have to reboot remotely).
