I'm fairly new to the OSX86 thing, but have very much enjoyed using it on my laptop. However, I've been forced to disable one of the cores in the BIOS. I have a slightly older HP 530 notebook with an Intel Core 2 Duo T2300 at 1.66GHz.

When using my initial install (Uphuck 10.4.9) I merely had to disable a core while installing, but could re-enable it afterwards. However, Tiger didn't recognize my (already replaced) gigabyte wireless card with an Atheros chipset. As this is kind of essential for my laptop, I decided to try IAKTOS. It installed much more easily, however, I am now forced to operate with just one core (also on linux install, this is dual booting via GRUB, and I can't be bothered to enter the bios settings to use both cores every time I load Linux.)

Is there any way I can get both cores to operate? I have tried the Kalyway DVD as well, and it gets stuck in an infinite reboot loop with the EFI_MBR boot setup. If at all possible I'd like to use all my my computing power, instead of halving it. I'd even be willing to use Tiger if I could get my wireless card working nicely.

Thanks!
