CLH2991
I'm trying to install iATKOS version 10.5.1 on a USB Hard drive, and I'm not having much luck. I've formatted it as Mac OSX extended: Journaled, and the only partition listed as "Disk2s1" When I run Darwin bootloader, I enter 2 as the disk, and 1 as the partition, and I get the following. "/dev/disk1s1" was already unmounted Startupfiletoll: opendev(dev/rdisk1s1) : Permission denied dd: /dev/rdisk1s1: Permission denied hdiutil: mountvol failed - operation not supported. (NOTE: I have a processor that supports EFI) Then, when trying to install OSX, I get The Installer could not validate the contents of the '10.5.1.Intel' package. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. Any help is appreciated! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88157-iatkos-1051/ Share on other sites
koonimo
u can use the terminal to navigat to volumes n check the real patition identity of ur external drive............ if the terminal can see ur drive then it should be fine writing to it.just make sure u know the identity......very important... then supposing the identity of that external disk is Disk4s1........ then in the terminal where u hv to imput those values for ur EF.....just type 5(which is the disk identity +1) and then the partition 1 The messages u r getting means it is not writing the info onto the external disk.......if u do it write u will see sucess or somthing like that.......... there n then u can go ahead with the other steps....... but if all this is confusion for u..........just try to get the iATKOS revision 2 which this process has been automized n all willl be fine......all the best I'm trying to install iATKOS version 10.5.1 on a USB Hard drive, and I'm not having much luck.
