I tried to install the Kalyway and after the first round it went into constant reboot. So, I tried again and was planing to use MBR instead of Guid. Well, what happened next is when I hit F8 it looks to Ethernet PXE Client. I don't know how to change it boot from the CD rom. I looked on the forum and found only on post with no response. Has anyone seen this before and found a solution? I would like to say thank you in advanced to anyone that helps.

PXE Client is a chip on your motherboard that allows you to boot from the network, without having a hard drive in the machine. You can usually disable this option in the BIOS. It's called LAN ROM/BIOS.

Then you can change your boot preferences in the BIOS at the same time.

If you can't disable the PXE ROM in the BIOS it will always be the last boot device that is tried. So if your hard disk isn't bootable, it will try PXE.

When you booted to the Kalyway DVD, did the Darwin Bootloader screen come up before you hit F8?

Ok, so when it loads I get the "System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found. Then I hit F8 and I get the loader for the PXE client. I looked in BIOS and saw nothing on Lan Rom Boot. I turned of the nic in the BIos and I made sure the DVD drive is first boot. Should I remove the HD and format it on another machine and try again? I am going to give that a try and see what happens,

thanks for the response Chaos Storm.

connect your disk to another S-ATA port and try again then. Do this for every port on your mainboard. I had similar issues but it worked when I connected the disk to another port.

If it remains the same, check if your controller is supported (check the Wiki or search the forum)

I am thinking there is something wrong with the disk. I tried Ubuntu and that ran through the installer. I am going to re-make the disk and see what happens, I just got to find the image,

Also if somene can answer me this, I looked and followed the EFI Install post but I have one question. Do I need to copy any files to the hard drive?

Help,I am not sure why it is doing it. I seems like there was only one other person with this problem Does any one know the answer? The thing is this all happened after the first failed install of Kalyway. I don't understand why it is doing this, If anyone can help me, they would be the man in my book.

Wow, it seems I am answering my own post.

I tried all the internal SATA ports and it still will not start up off the DVD Drive. I took the DVD Drive out and attached it to the USB Port with an adapter and bingo it started up. I installed using MBR and it finished. Then I rebooted and it started to load then stopped on the Grey Apple Screen.
