pi3point1415
I have an M400, and no luck. 10.4.3, 4, and 5 all give a kernel panic with an APIC error. I've even installed the full OS on a regular Centrino Toshiba M4, swapped disks, and received the same error. Darwin is initializing both cores, recognizing all hardware (IDE, SATA, USB, Firewire, NIC, etc), and I can even start the system in single user mode for about five seconds before I get the APIC kernel panic. Figuring out this one is beyond my skills. By the way, the DVD drive on the M400 is on the PATA, not SATA. There's another thread running about installing from an external USB DVD drive.
