Vitesse USB jamais en 2.0

Salut, je viens de me monter mon media center. J'ai installé la 10.4.10 (dvd que j'ai récup) sur un IBM netvista celeron avec chipset 915. Tout marche, QE,CI, Son, etc... mais l'usb reste désespérement lent... pas top pour un media center lorqu'on doit recup des fichiers sur des HD externes....

j'ai passé mon aprem a fouiller: rien à faire :P

 

Apparement ca vient de mon IOUSBFamily.kext (USBEHCI plugin). j'ai essayé ceux de darwin qui sont censés prendre plus de périfs, mais bon c'est con: j'ai un Intel915! C'est celui qui devrait marcher. Mais du coup je me demande si ca vient pas du fait que le bios est propriétaire: je n'ai pas l'option USB legacy (ce n'a rien a voir avec l'option legacy free des périfs usb tels les claviers hein?)

 

Bref ca me gave: je suis bloqué et ne peut utiliser mon mediacenter...

Bon j'ai installé la Kalyway, histoire de voir: et bien l'usb marche bien en full-speed. Donc c bien un problème de driver.

 

Mais comme je le savais: Leopard ne gère pas le GMA900 au niveau de CI+QE alors que Tiger oui. Pffff ...

Donc VLC NIET, et frontrow ecran noir.

 

Vous allez me dire: change de bécanne! oui mais bon celle-ci ets petite, silencieuse, bref tout ce qui faut pour être dans mon salon.

 

Deux soluces s'offre a moi : faire marcher l'USB en 10.4 (ca devrait être possible, vindiou, c'est une carte intel!) ou trouver un driver gma900 pour 10.5

Quelle version???alors la!!! meme pas d'indications. Je peux pas te dire. mais c'est la seule qui fait marche le gma900 (meme la JaS 10.4.8 n'y arrive pas chez moi).

 

Mais j'ai essayé la 10.4.8 et l'usb ne marche pas non plus en 2.0. j'ai upgradé le bios, et la ca marche plus du tout: rien... j'ai du retrograder.

 

Je ne comprends vraiment pas pourquoi ce satané usb ne marche pas. Ca commece à me gonfler: vais devoir utiliser ... windows :(

j'ai upgradé mon bios... maintenant si j'insere un perif usb, il n'apparait pas! ni des les infos systemes.

As tu essayé de monter une carte PCI?

J'avais quelques problèmes d'USB, plantages occasionnels etc...

Depuis que j'ai mis une carte pci avec Chip NEC, et branché les perifs USB 2,0 dessus, plus aucun soucis.

Et comme j'ai une tonne de perifs à brancher, ça m'a donné 5 usb en plus...
