BrumBrum74
Is it just to replace the kext and repair permissions and restart and all is good? Or is there any other instructions?
Empra Great
you have to replace the powermanagement.bundle with the new one that you download from the link, then repair permissions, then restart(they don't actually say to repair permissions, but thats the only way it worked for me) Here a small addition for people who have been unsuccessful with the powermanagement.bundle only you may need to do this If you back up your old extentions, just replace these with the old ones, but do that one a time do not do all so if something went wrong you can track it AppleSmartBatteryManager.kext AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext AppleSMBIOS.kext AppleACPIPlatform.kext Please always repair permissions this is a standard practice, also you may need to boot with -f -v to reload the drivers and check if the system hang up where things went wrong, hope this helps. Empra Great
what about getting it to work with the vanilla kernel? the battery thread says it doesnt work with the vanilla kernel... I have originally a iATKOS installation with vanilla kernel, and it worked fine when I updated using kalway I just the steps above. Empra
SA22C
I wouldn't use the vanilla kernel with a notebook. The netkas kernel supports speedstep and provides for much better battery life than the stock kernel running at full speed 100 % of the time.
