Cassius2117 Posted February 13, 2008 Share Posted February 13, 2008 I just installed with the Kalyway DVD, and it appeared to be going fine. It rebooted after installing and I get to the part where you see the gray apple on the screen and then my monitor goes off and the PC is restarting. I read that for my mobo(Asus P5Ke) you have to use rd=disk0s1 (for me its disk0s2). I type that in at the prompt after pressing any key and hit enter and the exact same thing happens, just a reboot. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks. ***UPDATE: I was able to boot using cpus=1 and right now I'm in OSX . So that's good news, but how do I fix this permanently?*** Asus P5Ke eVGA 8800GTS 512MB 4GB Crucial Ballistix 500GB SATA (w/Vista) 160GB IDE (w/OSX) EDIT: Some more info. I checked both boxes for the vanilla, I also checked the box for P5K sound. I didn't do anything with video or network. Oh and I chose MBR.
