trikee
I have a Powerbook G4 DVI that I recently upgraded to tiger 10.4 for 10.2.8. Immediately after that the ethernet stopped working and the Airport doesn't see my local router hub. I have tried various fixes and have updated to 10.4.9 which makes no difference. I have tried the PRAM reset and the NVRAM reset. The ethernet blinks on the router when the PB restarts but immediately dissapears when the grey screen appears. Have also tried repairing permissions. Ethernet also works in safe mode, but in normal mode appears in the network preferences tabs and is checked and at the top but doesn't appear at all in the network status page. I have tried deleting restarting and rechecking but to no avail either. Anymore help or suggestions on thsi matter - it seems there is very limited info on this problem ? Perhaps the kext for networking didn't update correctly, is it corrupt ? Can i re-install ? I sthere a conflict between airport and ethernet ? help.....
