VMWare and JaS 10.4.8 - Massive CPU error before install on Dell D620

Hi all,


I'm installing the


Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2] iso

on: VMware Workstation 6.0.0 build 45731


I followed the instructions here very closely:




I get a massive crash when I try to install OS X.

This occurs on a virgin start of the virtual machine.

After VMWare boots into the Daemon mounted ISO. I type F8>-v>Enter.

Then, this:




I press OK:

Intel Core Duo T2400 at 1.83 GHz.

Instructions: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3.

VT Virtualization disabled via BIOS

Mobile Intel® 945GM Express Chipset

Vista Ultimate 32-bit

Speedstep must be enabled in BIOS for 1.83 GHz speed. Speedstep disabled in Vista via Control Panel>Power Options>Change Plan Settings>Change advanced power settings>Processor Power management>minimum processor rate>plugged in>100%

DDR2 1024 MBytes memory
