malimravbg
I want to use AFP shared volume from iMac running 10.5.1 to backup my Macbook (updated to 10.5.2). I start TM on macbook and my AFP shared volume appears, I select it, TM starts and after few second I get message : No backup volume selected ?! Anyone with similar problem on 10.5.2 ? 12.2.08. 12.54.24 System Preferences[203] FSMountServerVolumeSync received error: -36 12.2.08. 12.54.24 System Preferences[203] Failed to mount url: afp://smike@172.16.0.2/200GB P.S. But,Shared volume is correctly mounted I can use it, browse, copy and so on... Just tried TM with external USB disk and it works. It seems that Apple disabled defaults write com.apple.systempreferences TMShowUnsupportedNetworkVolumes 1 hack ???

tinro
after days of figuring out, I found that LittleSnitch was the problem. It somehow blocked way when TimeMach. tried to auth. share. So I turned off LittleSnitch and it suddenly worked. I deleted and recreated LittleSnitch rules and now works.
