Sclice
I though I would share some of my experiences with my install of my Hackintosh. I had tried all versions fomr Tubgirls 10.4.8 to the iAkios version. When installing I had the WAITING FOR ROOT DEVICE error. This was a problem with all verision with my new computer. I had two 500gig Sata drives hooked up and this is what I beileve was the error. The bootloader did not recongnize the two drives. So I borrowed an old IDE drive and hooked it as master and my old DVD rom as slave. This solved the problem. I was then able to boot into the install window and proceed without any other errors. My computer is: Intel 6600 Asus P5K-VM 2 500 gig sata drives 2 sticks of 2 gig ram I do now have a problem with the sound not yet working (Realtek fix I believe). I still have to find out how to install the realtek fix and the kexts associated with this. skorpyo
Hey, I have the same MoBo. While customizing your install select Audio Drivers for ALC883, it will perfectly work.
