doli Posted February 11, 2008 Share Posted February 11, 2008 Hi! I just downloaded OS 10.4.8 by JaS, burned it and installed it on my PC completely smoothly, without any problems. Untill I restarted my pc after install. When system boot in i can see apple logo on a gray screen and loading thing under it. It's keep going like that for about 5 minutes and than shows on the apple logo that 'stop' icon, or whatever it is (dark gray crossed circle if u want) - like non smoking sign. Any ideas what's goin' on? It's my first time with "Mac on PC" stuff. Help me please! My machine: AMD Athlon64 3800+ Motherboard Asrock ALiveSATA2-Glan hd: Maxtor s-ata 2GB Ram (2x 1024) GFX: Geforce 7300 gt 256mb PS. boba899 Posted February 11, 2008 Share Posted February 11, 2008 just before booting in to OS X, keep tapping F8 until the Darwin menu comes up. Type -v then hit enter. This will tell you in text the problems you are having. Post the last lines, these will probably highlight the problem. doli Posted February 11, 2008 Author Share Posted February 11, 2008 it's just restarting computer all over again . what a {censored} I tried to install leopard on my adm, but it wasn't work anyway. There was only white "_" blinkin' I think that there's only god damned windows for me... troyBlank Posted February 11, 2008 Share Posted February 11, 2008 doli, i had this issue as well, I had to set up my sata config in my BIOS to be AHCI, though my BIOS didn't really have an option to do that, so to enable AHCI I set my RAID card to be enabled and disable all RAID types, so i got the RAID going just no RAID. If you have an option to use AHCI on your IDE or SATA driver i would start there, that and make sure your plug-and-play O/S option in your PCI/Pnp options is set to YES, also if you can set your power suspend mode to S3. It is most likely a conflict with your BIOS settings.
