DimmuJed Posted February 8, 2008 Share Posted February 8, 2008 Okay here is my build q6600 2.4ghz (overclocked to 3.0) EVGA 680i MOBO EVGA 8600 GT 256MB Sata DVD burner 500 GIG Sata Hard Drive 160 GIG IDE Hard Drive USB Memory Card Reader 52 in 1 2 Gigs pc6400 800mhz RAM (4-4-4-12 timing) I've been researching which release to install but it doesn't make sense to me. I have the Kalaway Leo 10.5 Intel SSE2 SSE3 as well as the TOH x86 9A581 RC2 release. Which do I install for my build? Also how do I decide which operating system to boot once installed? Do I just have to shut off one hard drive or the other in BIOS? Or will there be like a boot loader? BTW I'm using Vista Ulitmate 64bit edition. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. mtotho Posted February 10, 2008 Share Posted February 10, 2008 there is a whole thread for this 680i chipsets. It isn't easy at all for that board. Also, only IDE drive work for 680i. Much patching is required. Which distribution you use is the least of your worries. On this same forum (osx installation-Leopard) there is a thread for it. Go to the next page if it isn't on the first.. And why did you go on and get that nice expensive board (i have one i may add) and buy the {censored}tiest video card you can find? and 1 of them.
