nairpicmacos
I recently installed NVinstallerv.32.pkg from scottdangel.com/blog. Everything seems to work (resolution 1680x1050, QE/CE) but the performance seems to be sluggish. My last video card was GeForce 7600GT and worked perfect, everything was smoother. With my new 8600 GT card it's not that good. Is it the driver I should worry? Will the 10.5.2 update have apple supported drivers for 8xxx series? Does anyone else have the same feeling that 8xxx series have bad performance? Later edit: Also when I try to change monitor gamma from 1.8 to 2.2 from System Preferences -> Display has no effect whatsoever. With my old GeForce 7600 it worked. nairpicmacos
OK, I got it fixed. I read somebody saying to plug the DVI cable into the second DVI port, and now it's all smooth. Thx!
