I have been browsing this forum for hours now hoping to find a clue as to why I can't connect to the internet with an otherwise flawless install of Leo 10.5.1 KalyWay, and then boom ! I find your post :P

Where did you hear about this trick, what is/was your situation to begin with ?

Now, have you tried this fix ?

Please please, post about this ! :D

Thanks

Regards,

For the P5W DH, do not select any networking kexts during install and your on-board gigabit ethernet ports will work out of the box. If you install the Realtek drivers during install, it will not allow the on-board gigabit ethernet ports to work.

To get the RTL8187L wireless to work, download the latest drivers from Realtek as stated in this thread.

Yes, don't select the Realtek driver in the Kalyway disc menu! I put this rar file together a few weeks ago that includes all the kexts (besides wifi) to get 10.5.x running on the P5w DH Deluxe. Official realtek wifi driver for 10.5.x is here
