sorry about my bad english, i am from a spanish-based country

hey guys, i heared about dual booting xp and osx86 in a intel-based machine, and i Wondered:

i have the 8f1111a 10.4.3 version patched with jas patch (downloaded already patched)

pentium 4 1.6 ghz socket 478(* i think its 478, although i'm not sure, in addition i would like to know how to know with socket it is)

geforce fx 5200

1 seagate 160 gigs 7200 rpm

1 maxtor 40 gigs 5400 rpm (i have not put it in my computer, because i was planning to do it when i installed osx)

a winfast tv2000 xp expert (NTSC)

a pctel platinum v.90 modem that i dont use

a compaq monitor

1 compaq dvdr gdr8160b

1 plextor dvdrw px-716a,

and i don´t know if my treandnet tbw-101ub bluetooth device will function

now, tis is the problem.

i have donloaded and burned my iso image of the [Edit: removed due to DMCA non-compliance]8f1111a 10.4.3 version patched with jas patch but as i saw the compatibility pages, and they say that the one patched with maxxus is the ideal one, and....... i have the jas one, i don´t know what to do. :( I don´t know if this version i have is just fine, :hysterical: and i don´t know if there is a way to unpatch my version and path it with maxxus, if i have to download again the unpatched version (please don´t say i have!!!, it was so long to wait 4 days with my machine working night and day)

I reeeeeeeeeeeeally need your help,

I am just too newbie

Thank you very much

Your ISO with the Jas pathc might already incorporate the maxxuss patches. This is what you have to do check the md5 sum (using "md5summer.exe") of your iso and make sure it matches this one: 16139ae55ac283c114a5231f85c3f54c. If so you should be ok, if not download the 8f1111 DMG file. convert it to ISO, and apply the jas 4.2b patch yourself. If you dont know what the hell im talking about, check the noob forums and figure it out.

hi there tomaszjc7

i read your post yesterday, and i honestly didn't have enough time to answer you, but here it is

as i have checked, this version i have downloaded, has several relevant patches (as it says in the site i specified) including the jas 4.2b patch and the maxxus "relevant patches"; now, you say i should check the hash, well... i just did it and ....... is not the one you gave me, and because of my conclusions i thought it was because of the several other patches you don't considered (i think). I also think you didn't get the point (no ofense), because i said i might need the maxxus patch. I said that because i was confused.

Now, you say that if the hash was not the one you gaved me, then i was wrong, and i would need to get the unpatched version and, patched with the Jas patch. Sooo....... if i said that i guessed that i needed the maxxus patch, then why you say i should install the jas patch in the new iso, if i already have an iso with a jas patch installed??. I just don't get the point. Maybe i am wrong, maybe i should try booting with the disk and if it would install it....... i dunno.

And i almost forgot.. I have read threads that say my video card is incompatible.

Someone please......help

If you have the same video card, any expirience???

nvidia fx 5200 ??

thank you very much
