fins4ever88
Do I need to download a hacked version of Leopard to work on my AMDx2 computer, or can I use the actual OS disk? fins4ever88
quick answer: you need a modified kernel to get AMD machines running. so what do you guess? ;-) Touché sir. Thanks for the response! As another question here. Now that I know I need to find a modified version, is that the reason why when I try use the original version I keep getting a "Missing Operating System" error when it tries to boot from the DVD? smorf
"missing os" errors usually mean, that your machine does not find a compatible boot record. using a non-patched original osx install disk might cause exactly this. there are a few threads on installing osx on amd machines in here... maybe they´ll help you out. Thanks for the quick responses! I guess it's time to go out and buy the DVD burner that I always said I'd get, but never really "needed." Until then, I guess I'll try using my roommates laptop to burn it.
