fins4ever88 Posted February 7, 2008 Share Posted February 7, 2008 Hey guys, I'm new here, attempting to get Max OS on my old laptop. Here are the specs: Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz (SSE2) 512MB RAM Radeon 9600 Mobility 128MB 60 gig hard drive. I've been looking all night for a free partition editor, but nothing I've used will work. I would love to get Leopard on it, but I'd be happy with Tiger. I have the actual OS disks for Tiger (borrowed from a friend), and a burnt copy of Leopard from another friend. Can anyone help me get started? I've tried a lot of the guides, but I can't partition my HD. On a side note: I tried to do the same thing on my new desktop (AMD 64x2 5400+, 2GB RAM, 8600GT 256MB, 400GB HDD), but when I have the disk in and try to boot from the CD, it says "Missing operating system". Any help on either computer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!! Guest Posted February 7, 2008 Share Posted February 7, 2008 If you don't mind Illegality then use Acronis Disk Director 10 (torrents) i think that's the only way and Acronis is good as well...
