Is there anyone among us InsanelyMac geeks that has successfully got a brazilmac-patched version of the retail disc to boot on a P6N SLI-FI?

I am aware of the ToH RC2 install guide, but I don't want to torrent anything. I have a copy of Leopard anyways, having just bought a MacBook Pro, but I'm really interested nonetheless in getting OS X to run on my desktop. All of my other hardware is compatible.

I tried the standard -v -x -legacy cpus=1 and it goes through that process that seems like it's forever of loading drivers and stuff. It gets to a certain point and then just immediately restarts. It doesn't hang, it doesn't give me any kind of error at all, it's just loading files one second and it has restarted the next.

If brazilmac's patched version doesn't work with this board, is there another patch for the retail DVD that does? Like I said, I really don't want to torrent the Kalyway or ToH "distro" of Leopard. I won't ask about any other ways of getting access to them. I am aware of usenet, but paying for access to a usenet server kind of defeats the purpose of installing OS X on a standard X86 PC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
