So I got a Macbook Pro that someone else gave me, and I changed my user name and the computer name on the network. But the HOME folder in Leopard, you know the little home icon, it still has the wrong name. And when I go to MacintoshHD\users it still has the wrong name. How can I change this, short of reinstalling the entire OS???

Thanks!

PS even if its not in preferences, what "hack" or something can I do to fix this?

Make a copy of the home folder, in /Users and name it to your name. Then go into System Preferences > Accounts, and unlock the preference pane, and then right click on your account and click on Advanced Options.. Then were it says "Home Directory", change it to the new folder you copied, then log out and log back in, and if it works, you can delete the old folder.
