discmeister
Hi all, Thanks in no small part to lots of fine people on this forum, I've got my dual-boot OSX86 machine working beautifully now. Leopard really flies. I'm tidying the desktop up now, though, and I'm wondering if there's an easy way for me to stop OS X from showing the Windows volume on the desktop? I want it to show Leopard volume, obviously, and a shared partition that I set up, but since it can only read from the Windows volume I'd rather it didn't appear anywhere on the desktop at all. Does anyone know how I can make this happen? Kind regards, Discy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85983-hiding-a-windows-partition-in-leopard/ Share on other sites
mrbonkers
sudo pico /etc/rc scroll down to the bottom of the file insert the following at the end of the file diskutil unmount /Volumes/"Name Of Volume" hit ctrl -o to save hit ctrl x to exit Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85983-hiding-a-windows-partition-in-leopard/#findComment-625493 Share on other sites
