Installing OSX86, questions after intense search

Hello. I´m a dual Windows/ Mac user (MBP 2.16) and I´m thinking in a OSX86 installation in my Athlon 3000+ Of course I know it´s not SSE2/SSE3 so I´m buying a new mobo, CPU...

After lots of investigation, I´m picking an ASROCK 4COREDUAL-VSTA SK775 motherboard + INTEL CORE2 DUO E4500 2.2 GHZ SK775 800 MHZ 2MB DUAL CORE processor. I recently bought a x1950 PRO AGP, that I would like to use too. (That is why I chose that mobo, it has an AGP slot)

My question is, as the OSX86 scene is so confusing to (noob) me:

Tiger or Leopard?

Uphuck or Kalyway?

Should I patch it in order to get my card working?

 

I have googled it much, believe me. But the more I search, the more I get confused.
