Paps4
Hello, I have been able to find answers for many things before just by browsing around, but with this question in specific I have reached a dead-end. I installed the kalyway 10.5.1. EFI/MBR/ACPI. When I try to restart/shutdown, the system gets stuck. I believe it has to do with the hdd controller somehow (possibly??). Because at the same time, i have noticed that it wont shut down, if disk utility won't open. D.U. gets stuck searching for the drives/drive. Same with system profiler, although everything seems to work, from time to time when i click on the SATA/ATA section(s), it goes in an endless loop searching. If i force-quit either system profiler or du, and then try to start it again, du opens normally, but one of my 4 drives is not showing its partition, only the drive as a whole, with no mount options obviously. Also I have noticed that finder restarts by itself from time to time (only with the kalyway release - not with iatkos, or toh modified with efi) Any ideas why my system would be getting stuck in these situations? My system specs are: MB: Asus P5w64 ws professional ram: 2x1 gb corsair 5400 cpu: intel core 2 duo 2.4 hdd controller 1: intel ich-7r (drive that dissapears is on this controller) hdd controller 2: marvell 88se6145 (working with appleviaata.kext from a russian site? ) MaxCPUID is disabled. I have paragon installed cause all of the drives except the main one are ntfs, but i had the same problem without paragon, and without the marvell controller installed.
