Hey-

I recently got Kalyway 10.5.1 up and running on a computer I built. The specs are:

Mach Speed MS945G-GLV Motherboard

Intel Pentium D 925 Processor

OCZ Platinum Revision-2 2048MB PC6400 DDR2

Linksys WMP54GS Wireless Adapter

etc...

The problem I'm having is that the OS is running pretty slow. I know that I am totally subject to this when running a cracked kernel... but do I have to?

Right now, I'm booting with the "tohkernel -f" modifier. I also chose to not install vanilla in the kalyway installer. (It was the only way to get it to work.)

Can I boot using a different kernel? Something that'll help resolve my problems?

There are also the little quirks like the mouse sometimes not responding for a few seconds, or a mysterious small black box on my desktop.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Adam B.
