williedigital Posted February 6, 2006 Share Posted February 6, 2006 I did some searching and could onlyfind a little info on running osx86 on a laptop attached to a docking station. 1. Are there, generally, any problems with running osx86 on a laptop attached to a dock? (ie. do the usb ports, sound, etc not work? 2. The laptop I'm planning on getting has a gma900 video chip inside. It's the one that supposedly allows core video and quartz extreme as long as there is an external monitor attached. A monitor attached to a dock would count as an external monitor and i can expect qe and cv right? 3. The dock has two monitor hookups (DVI and vga), so I can expect to run two monitors off it right, in spanned and mirrored mode? 4. What resolutions can i expect to be able to attain on the external monitors (either natively or using the boot option)? Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated.
