themoodude
I'm new to OSx86, infact new to Mac all-together. I'm a pc man born and bred, however have always loved macs. I'd love the ability to dual boot mac on my pc. I'm currently downloading OSx86, and just want to know how easy it'll be to install, what format the partition has to be in, how a dual boot would work (Vista and OSx86). Just to let you know, I'm running Vista HP on Intel Core2Duo 1.5GHz, 2GB RAM. Admittantly my graphics let me down (SiS Mirage 3) If anyone could let me know if a dual boot is possible, and how to do it, would be greatly appreciated. I mean I could always use something like VistaBootPro to reinstall the Vista boot manager over whatever system Mac uses to control boot sequence, however I don't know how I could run that in Mac. Just... if anyone knows how to establish a dual boot on one HD (2 partitions). Also any random info (partition format, any specifics I should know). Cheers people, hope this all works well Dean Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85799-newbies-random-queries/ Share on other sites
Wrenbird
graphics will probably give you major issues. dual boot is possible, but I haven't done it. check out the wiki, i believe there's a guide there. Reveeen
Not only graphics, give a good long, hard, look at your chipset, I know newer SIS chipsets are a no-go.
