Hi I have the OSX 10.4.3 DTK install with wesley's patch. I checked the MD5 and its ok. I burned to DVD using alcohol 120% and it burns successfuly. When I try to boot from the DVD on my notebook, it detects the DVD and says boot cd-rom type: Non-Emulation booting and then does nothing. I've never had a problem with this system booting from a DVD. My specs are below. Any ideas? Thanks alot.

ciayhan, you said "joybook", do you mean a BenQ Joybook? 'Cause I've got a Joybook 600 that has external DVD-Drive and the Darwin-Installer freezes! However, going via VMware makes the machine boot, but halts with "Still waiting for root device"!

dear mauritzius,

Yes benq joybook.

I have external dvd-rom. And bootable osx86 10.4.3 freeze.

External dvd-rom and osx86 install dvdrom running fine another computer.

I cant use vmware, because joybook (dothan/banias) have broken pae.

Thanks for your reply

You right mauritzius

hm, that's a pitty; i recently thought of installing 10.4.3 on another machine and transferring the installed image to the joybook. i'll try this out as soon as i have the time to repartition the harddisk.

as even 10.4.5 doesn't boot, i'm not too convinced that this will work, but i'll give it a try anyway!
