Hi, I've already a Mac... My cousin has bought an Vaio with Vista. And he's really unhappy with this... It's a very slow OS... I told him that he can install OS X.

The Hardware is:

Sony Vaio VGN-CR31S/L

Mobile Intel® PM965 Express-chipset

Intel® Core™2 Duo-processor T8100, support Enhanced Intel SpeedStep®-technology

DVD+-RW/+-R DL/RAM

Hard Disk 160 Gb (S-ATA)

ATI® Mobility™ Radeon® X2300

Has someone experience with this set up? Which is the prefered installation? It will be native OS X. Are there known issues (missing drivers, non-working hardware,...) ?

i had on my vaio (vgn-n365e) mac os x 10.4.8/9 which worked good.

after install some patches thoes worked without any problems:

-audio

-lan (ethernet)

-wifi

-video

-extra keyboard and mouse (usb)

-front row.

speedstep worked but it made visual effects worked slower (but CPU was basiclly cool)

i had problems with:

-battery

-put computer to sleep

i think problem with battery was the bigest

i have tried install leo but i had same problems + problem with CPU and speedstep
