homers Posted February 3, 2008 Share Posted February 3, 2008 hi I have a dell inspiron 8600 laptop and I installed leopard 10.5.1 with vanilla kernel. When I try to boot I get a blinking "_". I ran disk utility and set partion to active but the problem persists. Backup your information and format the Partition *** For Inspiron 8600, other systems will vary*** You need a MBR bootloader SSE2 Patch * Same for all computers * No spaces in filesystem name "e.g Hackintosh HD" untill you can get into OS X then you can change the name.
