Inviz Posted February 3, 2008 Share Posted February 3, 2008 Hello there. What I have is: Intel Core2Duo 6300 Asus p5ld2 (i945, i believe) 1024 RAM ATI X1800XT Not that old or anything. I didnt benchmark it on windows, but the game experience went well. But when it comes to Mac os... Kalyway (Vanilla kernel): Geekbench: 800 pts XBench: 38-40 pts iATKOS (First two "native" thingies in install customization, no speedstep): Geekbench 500-1700pts (dont know why the range is that crazy) XBench: 45pts Gotta say, I couldnt make my configuration to boot with 2 cores. But i've seen benchmarks with 3000 of geekbench points with configurations very similar to mine. It begs for a question: What do I do wrong? You're scores are half of what similar setups have. 1/2 * 2 Cores = 1. Therefore, figure out how to get the other core to work and you're good to go. Now I run it with 2 cores, and well, the performance gain is about 30%. Not 300%, as i expect it to be.
