tharryc
Hey guys, long time reader here. Just installed the Kalaway 10.5.1 version on my Latitude D820. Had a 3945 wireless card but bought a 1390 (what a fun experience, my first taking a laptop apart!). Everything works great, I have network, graphics, but no sound. Sound isn't a huge loss for me, as I'm using the Latitude for notetaking (college student) primarily, and also some InDesign work. Anyway, if anyone has a fix for the sound, that would be great, but I did want to let people know Kalaway works on the D820.... at least on mine Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85001-complete-almost-success-on-a-dell-d820/ Share on other sites

nando2323
I got it working on my D820 also when booting just use -v -x. The only thing is I can't get the dual core working and the Broadcom nic either. I got the sound to work though you have to use that patcher, I forget the name but if you google "D820 leopard sound" I am sure you will find it. It's a patcher that you have to drop some text into and it patches it for you and the sound works.
