I've successfully downloaded and booted into Zephyroth's AMD DVD, but when it tries to install, I get an error similar to "Unable to verify BasePath. Please Restart and try again." I have tried burning the DVD in both PowerISO and ImgBurn. When I verify the data that was written after burning the ISO, it comes back with an error after about 40% of the verification. What would cause this? I have tried a couple of other disks like BrazilMac's Mac OSx86 Leopard 10.5 DVD, and JaS' Mac OSx86 10.4.8 Tiger DVD but both failed to load the kernel. I have verified that I have the correct hardware for installation, but those DVDs aren't compatible for some reason.

Here is my hardware:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ with SSE3 and SSE2

2GB DDR2 800 RAM

8X DVD-RW/52X CD-RW

320GB Seagate Barricuda SATA Hard Drive

200GB Seagate Barricuda IDE ATA Hard Drive

8GB Fujitsu IDE ATA Hard Drive

nVidia GeForce 5200 - (I know that this is a bit old, but Zephyroth's AMD DVD has booted with this on my machine)

Sound Blaster Audigy 24

Another method that I have used is trying to unpack the Leopard flat image to my 200GB hard drive, but it shrunk the size to 16GB and didn't boot. I have also tried copying Zephyroth's AMD DVD ISO to my 8GB hard drive, but it won't boot. I tried that because I think that some of the files from the ISO weren't burned properly to the DVD. I was hoping that booting from the hard drive would allow it to install without error.

Any help with any of the above methods would be greatly appreciated. I would really like to try and get Zephyroth's AMD DVD working becuase it was designed for AMD processors and so far, it's been the only DVD to boot into the Mac OS X setup. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I have figured out how to install Zephiroth's AMD DVD and am currently running Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.1 without issues. Please check out my guide if you need any assistance. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=85573
