Ok, i have three HD's in my HP desktop. my C: drive has XP, which im typing from right now. I have another 250 gig drive with 2 partitions for backup stuff, and i have another 160 gig HD that i want to put OSX on.

Ive done this once before with no problems, so i pulled out a Jas DVD and proceeded to install as before..but although installation goes fine after the initial boot from DVD (where you select your options for install)..I cant get into OSX after that, you know, where you actually go through setup and all..

Ive tried telling it to boot off that HD in the BIOS, ive tried telling it to reboot into OSX from the install DVD, ive tried acronis (acronis just sees the drive as EFI or something, and doesnt recognize an OS on there, so it wont let me boot from it)

I know i must be missing an obvious step somewhere, cause i did this before with no problems..

thanks!

so far all the guides ive found that have any correlation were for partioning one drive, and it seems like it doesnt work the exact same way when you have a seperate drive..acronis just seems to not be liking it when i format the other HD into mac journaled..
