canberra25
Hello, I've got a Compaq Presario 5320US that has no problems whatsoever running Mac OS X. I installed the JaS 10.4.8 Intel SSe2+SSe3 (and all the rest of that) on another hard drive. The only problem I am having at the moment is with my sound card. It has an onboard Intel 82801BA/BAM AC'97 sound card. The sound is chipmunk-like, and I cannot adjust the frequency at all. This is the only thing keeping me from going fully back to Mac OS X. I would love to go back, but I use the sound on a regular basis (every time I'm on the computer), and the chipmunks get annoying when I'm trying to listen to music, or whatever the case may be. Does anyone know of a fix to get this working? Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/84517-need-some-help-with-sound/ Share on other sites
