reich Posted January 28, 2008 Share Posted January 28, 2008 I spent close to 2 hours looking at different threads and I could not find an answer. After the installation of 10.5.1 on my Dell PC, there are only 2 components that are not working. Ethernet (Intel PRO/1000) which shows "not connected" Video (GeForce 8300) which only shows one resolution. Ethernet... I tried the third party drivers that Intel reomments but I cannot get my "MAC" to see them. I ran the install package and still no connectivity. Video... I have no idea where to begin. reich Posted January 29, 2008 Author Share Posted January 29, 2008 UPDATE !!! I reinstalled the OS and picked the NVDIA driver from the customize menu. WORKED GREAT !!! I am still having issues withe the Ethernet drivers. Intel PRO/1000 shows "NOT CONNECTED" PLEASE HELP!!! reich Posted January 30, 2008 Author Share Posted January 30, 2008 Yet another update... I installed a REALTEC network card and I was able to connect to the internet... Once problem... The transfer speed is about 5kb/s Any ideas ??? I'm having a problem where the ethernet connection dies after transferring > 500MB data total.
