Help with usb thanks

I'm trying to fix the "EHCI controller unable to take control from BIOS" problem, and:

So i read the *usb fix* stickie, my system specs are: hp pavilion dv5000(intel) running leopard 10.5.1 v1.0 (2.08 gb), and bios do not show any usb options;

I looked around the forum and did the following in trying to get my usb to work at all:

I installed the package from http://developer.apple.com/hardwaredrivers...d/usbdebug.html successfully,

then i downloaded PCGenUSBEHCI_303.4.5.kext.zip from http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=28559,

and used the 2nd post of http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=41677 to install the kext i downloaded

During kext install, there was an error message saying the kext might be bad, this is before i changed permission on it, also i couldn't find the exensions.kextcache file to remove like the author was talking about for installation of .kext files

On reboot after my attempted kext install, it says under verbose mode that it couldn't load the drivers from orByte (name of the .kext file author), and so usb control is still unable to be taken from the bios

can someone tell me how to start fixing this? thanks
