Question about OSX and Parallels Desktop

If the sound card does not work in OSX, then it won't work in XP either. Virtual machines don't use the actual hardware...they use generic hardware that the virtual machine software makes the client virtual machine OS think exists. This is why/how you can have multiple network/sound cards in a virtual machine that the actual computer itself does not have. That's how I understand it anyways...someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Actually i read on the parallels web site that hardware that is windows specific will work using parallels. Such as usb windows printers.
