cougr
I have an Asus P4P800-Deluxe Mobo, and have read in the compatibility list, that the onboard ethernet does not work. So I installed a PCI card (d-link DFE-530TX+), which according to the lists, works right 'out of the box'. In my case, it does not. Is there something that I should be doing? When I install the driver and restart, it says it was installed incorrectly and should be reinstalled. I tried booting in -v, and it just went by to fast, but I did see some d-link stuff pop up, is there a way to slow this down, or log it, or better yet, any way to fix it without needing to read it? haha If anyone has any clue, please let me know. Azuraeus
if you are installing the mac version drivers (not the ones made specifically for OSx86) there is a good chance they will not work. I suggest looking at the Networking Tulip guide. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/8384-os-x86-network-problem/#findComment-52134 Share on other sites

cougr
No luck so far. I'm going to try putting in the devID and vendID into the tulip file, that didn't work with any of the drivers I used previous, but I'll give it a shot! Thanks for the replies, any other input would be greatly appreciated. Mr. Bond
FYI....that guide is a bit old, and was written way back in the day. I'll need to update it once I get my 10.4.3 install back up.
