mtotho
should work. Just make sure to not Enable AHCI and Change the Sata mode from LEgacy to Native. ICH9 and +R boards dont allow the use of the last sata ports in leopard with AHCI enabled. Not really a problem.. ahci doesnt make much of a difference Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83825-first-hackintosh-computer-configuration/#findComment-595521 Share on other sites

mtotho
Do not use that guide. For 600 Dollars, you could have Sata DVD Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827106072 Cool Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811119068 320gb Sata Hard Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822148140 7600gt 256mb Video Card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130062 2x1gb DDr2-800 ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820231098 Gigabyte DS3L Full ATX board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128059 Intel Core 2 duo @ 2.66ghz. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115029 500W PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817148027 All fully working with the guide in my signature. If this is to expensive for you, try this slimmed down version 390$, could be cheaper if you took some stuff out. dvd http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827106072 case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811147064 160gb hard drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822145124 7300gt (not needed, but reccomended) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130025 psu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817159023 2gb ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820141017 mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813186112 2.2 ghz c2d http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115031 I would definately go with the first option.. although the second option will still be fast and functional. Use the guide in my sig to get 100 percent functionality.
