mindaugas
Booting off the DVD I get all the way to the Apple logo and then a kernel panic. Nothing is connected to the Vostro except power. -v the last message I get is "Darwin Kernel Version 9.1.0: Sat Nov 17 ... " and it completely locks up. HDD is in AHCI mode and flash module is off. I also switched the wireless off too, but just with the button in front. I'm going t try vanilla as well, but not sure what else to do. Thanks for any help or suggestions. I posted too soon, vanilla seems to be working. For those that don't know, press F8 at boot and type vanilla. mindaugas
I installed, but now it locks up on boot. First time was during the Apple logo. second time I tried -v and it said login started, I tried -s and did fcyk (fyck?) fy and then exit to boot and it is locked up on "/ocspd[85]: starting". I installed with the vanilla kernel option since vanilla from the CD worked.
