mtotho
I spent about 45 minutes wrting up a long and neat organized guide on how to pick out the right hardware for you osx. I finished and as i dragged my mouse over to post the thread.. my computer just restarted... for no reason at all. I was running Leopard and idk wtf happened. I refuse to rewrite everything.. atleast tonight. Firefox did no give me the option to restore page. Anyone know why this happened? it just randomely restarted. thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83678-poop/ Share on other sites
mercurysquad
Could have been due to CPU temperature issues. Happened to me twice last week on a dell laptop. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83678-poop/#findComment-594816 Share on other sites
mtotho
Nope. I have set in the bios an alarm for if my cpu gets above 70c.. which is hardly enough to reset it. My CPU is rated to be able to handle 75c for extended periods of time. mercurysquad
Power surge perhaps? I'm yet to encounter any instant-reboots on OS X since the past year or so. Happens with XP kernel panic, but not with OS X. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83678-poop/#findComment-594833 Share on other sites
