Black screen on boot

Hey all

 

I upgraded my internal drive and split it up for vista osx dual boot.

 

Everything was going well including boot options etc until I actually tried booting into osx.

 

I get the grey background and apple logo but after about 10 seconds it switches to a black screen and thats it, manual restart required.

 

I've since uninstalled and fixed my vist bootloader but still want to get osx installed on my machine.

 

I'm using Kalway 10.4.10 SSE3 disc.

 

Laptop is Toshiba Satellite po a100 running Vista HP.

 

any advice would be appriciated
